I should not have complained about our weather!

Look what is coming:
See that little dot labeled "Houston"? Well right now, I am smack dab in the middle of downtown. We have a front coming in and the temps will be dropping into the 70s this afternoon and the upper 60s tonight. WooHoo! I am ready for cooler temps, but really glad I am inside for the storms that will be here any minute.

This weekend, I will be baking Cranberry Almond Bread. Hubby has begged long enough, so I have to bake a batch or two so he can see if I remember how to do it. LOL! (I posted my recipe here if you would like to check it out.)

Then I may start my jam-making on Sunday. I have a lot to make and it will take many weekends.

So what is everyone else up to???

No, you shouldn't! Now look what you've done!! : )
There is a cold front moving into Ga. that is going to cause our temps to drop from the 80's today to the 60's by tomorrow. Ugh!

Pam, I don't mind the cooler weather. I am about ready for lower electric bills.

I don't even mind the rain as long as I get to be inside.

We've been having rain from that same system. The sun finally shone today and we reached 52°. It's not supposed to get out of the 40s tomorrow. I'm not ready for cool weather yet.

We have not seen sun today. But that is okay. If you had my electric bill, you would be ready for the cooler temps, too. LOL!

Ooh! That storm front doesn't look to happy!
Looking forward to hearing how you make the jam! and will check out your bread recipe! I can't do almond, but I LOVE cranberry!

Hi, McVal! The weather wasn't as bad as it looked like it was going to be. Of course, I was inside when it went over. LOL! It just got dark and rainy. I heard it was windy, but I couldn't tell high up in the clouds. LOL!

I think you could subsitute orange extract for the almond. I have had cranberry orange bread before and it is delish!

Frances said...

Duh! I was typing too fast. I meant "substitute."

You are cute thinking that 70s is cooler. It would be a heat wave here.
