It did not.
So, yesterday, I went to an Orthopedic to have it checked out. He asked a lot of questions.
He took an XRay.
(This is not my XRay, but you get the drift.)
He informed me that I have osteoarthritis in my left knee, as well as bone spurs. And I have indications of OA in my right knee, though it is much better than my left. Then he put 2 cortisone shots in my knee, told me to take large doses of Aleve or Advil and come back in a month if it isn't better.
He was really nice, but I am sure hoping my knee feels better soon, so I won't need to go back. It feels a lot better today, though not 100% better.
I told him my mom has bad knees and has no cartilege in the joints, he informed me that mine will be like that eventually, as it is hereditary. Thanks, Mom.

Aren't mothers great!? My mom too had severe arthritis, oh the joys to look forward too.
Oh wow - bone spurs in the knee... that sounds awful!
Owie!! He didn't tell you to take Osteo-Biflex or anything?? You might want to try it! My kneecaps were wayyy too big for me when I was a child and they used to just ache and ache. Doctors called it "growing pains". Pfftt!! Pain is pain! I hope you feel better soon!
Hi, Marilyn, Denise and Jeannie! Thanks for stopping by.
My knee is feeling better today and I actually worked out yesterday, only skipping a couple of left knee intensive moves.
Jeannie, the doc didn't mention Osteo-Biflex, but I was doing some research on-line yesterday on OA, since I sure don't need to wait any longer to start dealing with it, read about Osteo-Biflex and will be buying some this weekend. (It is on sale at Walgreens and I have coupons. LOL!)
Oh yuck! The cortisone shots are not permanent. Until you get your knees fixed, replaced, whatever... you'll have to go back for more shots. My MIL had to go in for a shot every month or two in her shoulder until she finally had surgery.
Hi, McVal. I am hoping the cortisone shots last a little longer for me. My knee is nowhere near bad enough for me to be a candidate for knee replacement. The thinning of the cartilage is very minor and it will be years before that causes problems for me, according to the doc. What is causing the pain is the bone spurs.
I am really hoping the cortisone and anti inflammatories help keep the pain away.
So the name sweet knees is taken, what is your nickname going to be?
I hope that you get better soon!
SonyaAnn, Hubby has MUCH cuter knees than I do.
He is just calling me "Grandma". I pointed out to him that I have been one for 4 years. LOL!
Awww..so nice of your Mom to pass this on to you!!! :}
Seriously, you poor thing...OA HURTS! I have it in my right ankle...OUCH!
I haven't heard of Osteo-Biflex...I'm going to look it up! Queenie Jeannie is so smart!! :)
Hi, A.Marie. Sorry you have OA in your ankle. I think mine is not really that bad yet. The bone spurs are the problem....I hope.
Osteo Biflex is on sale at Walgreens this week. Do you have Walgreens? They are B1 G1 1/2 off.
You can go here and get coupons. I found it on page 4, I think.

Sometimes genetics sucks...lol
You poor kid. I feel your pain since I have the beginnings of OA in my knees as well. I take the fish oil and the Osteo-Biflex or something like it too...whatever I can get for free or cheap with coupons. Gotta love them coupons sometimes...lol
Feel better!!!
Hi, Sluggy. Thanks for coming to visit. I have been taking Fish Oil for about 6 months now, to get my good cholesterol higher. Hope it helps with the knee. I don't know if I can get the Biflex for free, but I think I can get it pretty cheap..this weekend at least.
Yeah, I don't think the term grandma would fly even as a term of endearment with me!
My mother also suffers from arthritis and I feel it now and again in my ankles, legs, and lower back. I remember hers starting to bother in her mid 40's which is right where I am. Hope you continue to feel better.
Blessings
Diane
Oh, SonyaAnn, I love being a grandma!
Diane, I feel for you. I have realized in the last couple of days, while researching arthritis, that that is the cause of my popping joints. LOL! My ankles and feet are popping all the time. Thank goodness there is no pain yet.
Oh hun! I feel for you. I have had three knee surgeries and since then I have terrible arthritis! Genetics stink big time!
Hi, Lisa. Thanks for stopping by. You poor thing...3 knee surgeries. I really feel for you. I have never had surgery...I just live vicariously through Hubby. And it is rough.
