NEW Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review!

I don't know what the heck I did to the formatting, but I wanted to get this post up.

As a Purex Insider, I recently received 2 bottles of NEW Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap. I immediately opened them up to smell and, oh my, they both smelled SO good! The hand soap comes in fabulous scents of Yellow Raspberry and Black Sugar, Water Blossoms, and Coconut Lime Verbena. I received Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar and Water Blossoms and I could not pick a favorite.
First I used the Yellow Raspberry and Black Sugar hand soap, because, how could I not? Right? It smelled so amazing and was really gentle on my hands. When I had finished, and dried my hands, they did not feel tight and dry like they do with a lot of hand soaps. AND they felt really smooth. I thought, “I wonder how this would work on my forearms?” Weird? Maybe. But my forearms are starting to show my age with some age spots and this Winter has been really hard on my skin.

So, I lathered up to my elbows. It felt like a gently body scrub and when I was done, my arms felt so soft and my dry skin felt better. The feeling and the smell make me want to lather up to my elbows every time I wash my hands. Maybe I can get rid of these age spots!

The Water Blossoms smelled good and worked just as well, but I have fallen in love with the Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar scent.

Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap is the latest Dial Brand hand soap bringing luxury to your hand washing experience. These premium soaps feature vibrant scents, a gentle micro-scrubber formula that removes dirt from your hands and moisturizes the skin in and a completely new design that will go with any decor. I have been a longtime Dial fan and like most of its products and am happy to add this to my list of favorite products.

When you see Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap at your store, you definitely should pick up a bottle or two. (I don't have a coupon giveaway as the coupons I received expire 3/31/14 and I waited to late to be able to get them out in time to be used. I promise to do better next time!)

Disclosure: I did receive the product listed above for review from Dial but my opinions are my own.

Are you wondering about the outcome of my MRI?

I know you are. Well, maybe not, but I will share anyway.

This is NOT my knee x-ray, but looks a lot like it.

It is not pretty. I have inherited my mom’s knees. I really didn’t even need to have the MRI done on my knee. I think I won’t be seeing the PA again. Well, I thought she was a PA, but I think she is a RN/Nurse Practitioner. Now, I have nothing against RNs/Nurse Practioners/PAs and will happily see any of them, but in this case she kinda did me a disservice.

The dr said that the x-rays she was looking at were a year and a half old, so she should have taken newer X-rays instead of sending me for MRIs. It would not be a huge deal except that my part of the MRI cost was $368, since I had not met my deductible yet. AND it looks like I will receive a bill for another $200 as the radiologist that read the MRIs is out of network! Ugh! I may contest that bill and pay less than the $300 as I did not authorize and out of network anything.

My orthopedic took newer X-rays and surprise, surprise… my arthritis in my left knee has progressed to the point where the inner part of the joint is bone on bone. My mom has that. Dr. said that it is the level that would make me a candidate for knee replacement, but they don’t recommend it at my age. AND he told me I need to start working on losing weight so as to make it easier for the surgeon when I do have knee replacement. He said, "You WILL have to have knee replacement in your lifetime." I asked how I am supposed to lose weight when I can barely walk. He had no response.

I have some pain pills and he is going to inject something called Euflexxa. My insurance won’t cover the brand he has in his office, so they had to order it and I will go back when they get it in. He said it helps some people and not others. I am crossing my fingers that it helps me.

So, I am on pain meds and hobbling around right now. My knee is feeling a bit better this week. It is leading me to think that maybe SOME of the pain was from my klutzy circus act a few weeks ago. The bruising finally went away.

Oh, and the bone spur on my right heel....it doesn't hurt anymore. I told my Dr. that the fall must have fixed it. I can't think of any other explanation. But whatever the reason, I am happy about that.

To MRI or not to MRI

Right now the answer is never again.

Back in December, I went to my orthopedic dr and got shots in both knees for my arthritis and bone spurs and one in my right heel for bone spurs I have there. Ahhhh....they felt so much better, though I am not even going to tell you how much that shot in my heel hurt
when I got it!

In January, my left knee and right heel started hurting again. What?! Before, the shots had lasted about six months. And they wore off in a month? I was not happy. But I didn't go back to the doctor as I know I can only get shots once every 6 months. So, what could he do? I hobbled along taking LOTS of Excedrin, ibuprophen and even tried plane old aspirin and naproxen. Oh, and due to a sinus infection I even had a couple rounds of steroids. None brought total relief, so I broke down and made an appointment.

The dr gave me a prescriptions for some pain meds, but wanted me to have MRIs done as my arthritis is not advanced enough to hurt this much. She said I might have a torn meniscus. Just great! But I won't worry about that yet. So I started on the pain meds and waited for a call to schedule the MRIs.

The medication I am taking is tramadol hcl and it is working pretty well. I need to boost it sometimes with some Excedrin, but I am still not taking as much OTC pain meds as I was. I walk a lot at work, so weekdays are especially painful and I am grateful for the meds that reduce the pain so that I can walk without crying.

Oh, and before I even got the MRIs scheduled, I had my little fall last week, so gave the doctor even more to look at on the MRIs. LOL!

Yesterday, I went to have my MRIs. I love that I could have it done on a Saturday and not have to miss work. I am a dedicated employee that way. Hubby has had a few MRIs, so warned me about the noise involved. I was not to worried. I figured I can stand anything for an hour. Especially if it will lead to getting me pain free.

The noise didn't bother me so much as having to remain still for so long. OMG! I kept thinking, "I have got to move." Since it was my lower body, I could move my arms and head, but I was so worried about moving my legs. LOL! It was crazy stressful.

I never thought I was claustrophobic, but I just don't think I could ever go head first into one of those things. I hope I never need one! Now I wait until I hear from the doctor who should have the results on Tuesday.

In the meantime, I hope everyone is staying warm and being safe. We are getting a cold front tonight as is much of the country.
