I have new hair.

I usually don't post pics of just me. I am modest like that. LOL! But I decided to thrill you all by showing of my new haircut. Friday morning, when I was getting ready for work, my hair looked like this:

Oh my! You can really see my gray roots! I got a perm about a year and a half ago and though there is a lot left in the ends, I had to work to get any body in the top. And of course, I was in dire need of a haircut, so the top was just too long and liked to flatten out on top.

So, Saturday I went to see my hairdresser, who I just adore. I told him to pretend that I have not been such a freak about my hair all these years and suggest something new, since I was getting bored with it. I have gone through phases, where I wanted no more than 1/2 in trimmed off, not wanting any layers and other demands that he always abided by. He has been stunned the last few years, as I have let him cut layers and take off length like crazy. (I actually had it almost to my waist about 7 years ago. It was gorgeous, but a realy pain in the butt.)

So he made a couple of suggestions and grinned like crazy when I told him to have a ball and get to cutting. I still have some curl in the ends, but he blew it out straight and I really love it. This is what it looked like after being outside in the wind, then playing with it at home for several hours.

I think I can manage to get it looking pretty good myself. I think it will be pretty easy to do. And if I don't feel like blowing it out, I can just gel up the curls and crunch the top some. So I have new hair!
