Don't lose all respect for me....

See this:

This is the wagon I fell off of this week. Yes, I fell of the "Not spending money for takeout breakfast" wagon. I was doing so well, too! Here is how I did for 3 weeks:

Spent:
Week of 01/25/10 - $0
Week of 02/01/10 - $3.01
Week of 02/08/10 - $0

So I did really well for 3 weeks.

Then Hubby had surgery last Friday. I discovered, since then, just how truly spoiled I am. Though Hubby is in a wheelchair and is pretty self-sufficient, I have been having to do a lot of stuff that I don't normally have to do. Like running all the errands, getting the mail, picking up prescriptions, washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. It doesn't sound like that much, but I leave home at 7am and get back from work at 6 or 6:30pm. (9 hours a day and 1 hour commute each way. Though, part of my commute IS waiting at the bus stop.)

I really, really, really appreciate how spoiled Hubby has let me become and I can't wait for him to be back on his feet. LOL!

Oh, yeah, the wagon. This week, I bought breakfast 3 mornings, just because I didn't think to fix something to bring from home. I DID bring my lunch every day, so I didn't fall UNDER the wagon, just off of it.

I will be baking this weekend so I can get back to saving money.....that I will then have to pay for medical bills. Ah, such is life.

Don't feel bad. My dad had eye surgery this week and with having to take care of him, we brought home some take out meals. I say anytime there is medical problems eating out is fine! : )

Thanks, Pam. Hope your dad is doing okay.

I won't tell, Marilyn's Money. LOL1

I don't know why I have no problem bringing lunch to work and eating it. I rarely go out to lunch... maybe once every 3 or 4 months. I guess it is because I always think I am to busy to leave my desk.

But breakfast happens right when I get in and I have to pass goody places to get here. LOL!

Sorry to here about your hubby's surgery... given the circumstances, you are doing just fine. Eating out 3 times for breakfast is totally justifiable, me thinks.

Best wishes with the recovery!

I think that you did really well. I defiantly wouldn't beat yourself up. You have had way too much going on in you life to stress about this. Even though, you don't consider surgery a big deal anymore, it is. And you both are out of sorts because of it. OK, I'll stop sounding like a mom.

Thanks, Jules, for coming to see me and thanks for the good wishes for Hubby. He is doing pretty well.

Hi, Mom....err SonyaAnn! LOL! Thanks for being Mom like and showing me that I was worrying about something silly.

I try not to worry about things and am usually pretty successful. I used to worry about EVERYTHING, ALL THE TIME. And it didn't do a bit of good. Things seem to be better since I decided to let God do my worrying for me.

Man! I wish I could send you a casserole or something!

McVal, you are SO funny! Thank you so much for the thought. If I weren't so lazy on the weekends, I could make a bunch of casseroles. I just cooked 2 or 3 meals a day on Saturday and Sunday and that was enough for me. For last weekend anyway. I am sure it will get better.

I love to cook and bake. I just have not been in the mood lately.
