Hubby has been doing so well since his surgery. Last week, his surgeon removed the steri-strips he had put on the incision 3 weeks prior when Hubby's stitches were removed. It is healing so well. The incision is totally closed. Of course, there is still healing going on inside, but the outside looks great!
I took today off off to go with Hubby to discuss the timeline of getting his new leg.
My baby's gonna be a pirate!! We have pretty good insurance, so he won't have to get a peg leg. LOL! We are not sure exactly when he will have his leg, but it will be no longer than 5 weeks from yesterday. Yeah! He will have his new leg for Christmas. We are pretty excited about it.
Oh to a nice long relaxing weekend. (I hope.)

I dearly hope it's not THIS one...

Because I hear they're pretty popular around Christmas time!
With our insurance, you would get a coupon to the Goodwill to try and make something. Its that bad.
I'm so glad that hubs is doing so well. Did his mom take it alright?
Val, Hubby actually found a site that had amputees that had costumes that showcased their amputations. One WAS that leg lamp. Hubby LOVED it!
Sonya Ann, we do have good insurance. I am really happy that this year, for the first time, "max out of pocket" really means just that. Thank you Obabacare! Once we hit our $3000 out of pocket for Hubby, he has paid nothing else. No copays for dr visits, no copays for hospital and no copays for meds. It is great! That is one of the reasons he had the amputation when he did to get the benefit of that. We start over in January.
