My "Secret" Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

A.Marie asked for the recipe of the Teriyaki Chicken that I made on Sunday. So, here it is.

Frances' Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients:

Chicken pieces (I used chicken quarters and cut the legs from the thighs)

Lawry's Teriyaki Marinade (Or other bottled Teriyaki sauce would work)

1/2 large can pineapple chunks and juice

Spray the crockpot with Pam, place chicken pieces in crockpot, dump in marinade and pineapple. Cook on low for 7 - 8 hours.

How easy is THAT! I bet you thought I was going to give some detailed "from scratch" directions. Well, I could have made it from scratch, but I already had the Lawry's from a sale where I got it free and needed to use it.

I won't be embarrassed that it wasn't from scratch. It was easy and anyone can make it. And it was delicious!!!

Thanks for that-post more! :-)
I make salsa chicken - chicken in the crockpot with a jar of salsa then make rice later. BBQ pork the same way.

Thank for stopping by, Helene!

I think we will have to try salsa chicken. I don't know why we haven't!

I love to cook and love to bake. I follow recipes for baking, but a lot of my recipes for regular food are just "a little of this" "a LOT of that" cooking. I have managed to come up with a few family favorites this way.

I love it!!! I'm going to try this as soon as I get a new crock pot. Damn cat, pushed it off of the top shelf in the laundry room. I liked that crock pot more than the cat, too. Do you think it would work if I put it on the stove on low for a while?

SonyaAnn, just cook it in the oven. I imagine on the stove would work as well. Just cook it however look you cook any chicken dish to make sure the chicken is done. (Unless you have some REASON to poison your family. LOL!)

Oh, SonyaAnn, do you garage sale or have some good thrift stores around? I have seen new, in the box, crockpots at both.

And, believe it or not, Hubby found our 3 qt Proctor Silex, with removable crock, at Family Dollar for $15!

I know a lot of people think you need a HUGE crockpot for more than 2 people, but we have cooked in a 3 quart for as long as we have been married. And for several of those years, there were 5 of us.

But until you find a new crockpot, SonyaAnn, cook it anywhere you can.
