Going Back in time....

Recently, I re-found my best friend from junior high school through Facebook. We had been inseperable through jr. high and our first year of high school, then became "unfriends." How that happened is a really long story that I only found out when we got back together recently. LOL! We were silly girls and should have made up way back then, but both were too stubborn I guess.

We were HUGE Star Trek fans! Yes, we were Trekkies before it became a phenomenom to be Trekkies. We were so into it, that she was determined that she would grow up to marry Capt. Kirk and I planned to marry Mr. Spock. Okay, we were geeks.....big geeks....before it was even called geeky. LOL!

We are going tomorrow to see the Star Trek movie, then to dinner to discuss it in depth. LOL! Seeing the movie will be fun. Seeing my friend will be even more fun!

My jr. high sweetheart! LOL!

OMG!!! I'm a sci-fi freak!!! For mother's day Den and the kids brought me to see it. It's the best movie EVER! I was just so pissed that I wasn't born a few thousand years from now. I want to be that cool. And just so you know Den and I have Capt. Janeway and Den has a Worf costume! We either rule or suck! But at least I know you get me!
My word varification is nonsin-go figure.

Years ago I was dragged to a Star Trek movie. My brother was a trekkie not me. Anyway the only thing I liked was Patrick Stewart who is also from Yorkshire, a place I dearly love. I tend to get dragged to movies :-)

OMG!! SonyaAnn, you and Den RULE! Not suck!

I loved, loved, loved the movie! I want it for Christmas and I rarely want DVDs. LOL! I want to join Star Fleet!! Maybe I can live that long. LOL!

Jules, we had a great time! The movie DID rock!

Poor Helene, Patrick Stewart was pretty hot, but he's no Mr. Spock. LOL!

Oh Wow!! I absolutely love Star Trek!! Love, love love it. I wanted to marry Capt. Kirk when I was younger, then, when I was older, I wanted to marry Capt. Jean Luc Picard. I thought that he was gorgeous! :)

I know, I really don't seem like a sci-fi person, but I am! When I was in college, I discovered Dr. Who. I was hooked, and never missed an episode. :)

The logical Mr. Spock! LOL I had a friend like that too. We both loved Star Trek, and would do our best to find circumstances that would allow us to utilize the word "Illogical". I enjoyed some of the later Star Trek episodes, but they just never seemed the same after William Shatner, Leanerd Nimoy and the rest were replaced. Although I will admit I rather liked Patrick Stewart ;-)

Oh! I forgot to mention! I found "Dark Shadows" on DVD at Netflix! They even have "The Beginning", which was pre Barnabus, etc. I'm SO gonna get those for my kids to watch with me!:)
