I have become just a little obsessed!

With Aldi!

I know, I know...I am probably going overboard. You all that have always had Aldi probably think I am crazy. You that don't like Aldi surely think I am crazy. I have been stalking the Aldi Facebook page and researching Aldi all over the web.

But I don't care. I am so excited about my store opening on April 11....just 8 days away!!

And, believe it or not, I am taking off work for the grand opening. Well, and to have a 4 day weekend. But I am taking off Thursday and Friday, so if I want to, I can go spend 4 full days in a row at Aldi.

Hubby keeps laughing and says it is gonna smell like P@@@@ in that store. (If you like George Carlin, you will know what he is saying. LOL!)

Sigh...I have never been so excited by a store.

I love Aldi, but I know otherwise sane people who just hate it. I don't understand them.

I'm with Annie, I don't understand why some people hate it so much. I smile every time I see the sign. And I can say that I have seen my food bill go down quite a bit since we got our beloved Aldi. I do almost all of our shopping there and then grab the loss leaders at the other stores in town. And the other stores have really dropped their prices in trying to compete with Aldi. Life is good!
And just to let you know, my BFF and I were constantly talking about Aldi before it opened. She would go to the Aldi about 25 minutes away and I would go to a different store about 20 minutes away before we got one here. Just think of all the money that we are saving on gas! Oh and she went to the one farther away because it was bigger and had more. Yes, the newer stores are a bit bigger. Who knew?
OK and by the size of this comment you can see that I get all worked up over our Aldi. You will too!

I am so glad to see that I am not alone in my professed love for Aldi. And I haven't even been in one yet!

I have read on some other blogs about people disliking Aldi, but their reasons don't faze me. Aldi doesn't take CCs..so what, I have a debit card. And I could easily get cash if that is all they took.

You bag your own groceries...so what..I rebag mine every time I go to Kroger. I mean really who wants to carry a bag with 6 2 liters in it, even if they will fit.

You have to put in a quarter to get a cart....so what...I HAVE a quarter.

LOL!
