Thank you, Kroger, for your heart-warming response.

Not.

I sent a copy of my Kroger rant blog post to Kroger customer service. Here was the response I received:

Dear Ms. P:

Thank you for contacting Kroger. I appreciate that you've taken the time to share your feedback regarding the high prices and poor service you have received in our store located at 3550 Spencer Hwy. I am truly sorry that you've had such experiences in our store. Please know that it is our sincerest desire to make each and every shopping trip a pleasant experience for all our guests.

I have forwarded your concerns to the store director for review with the management team. We are committed to providing you with the most enjoyable shopping experience possible and your comments provide us the opportunity to evaluate, address, and correct our processes if necessary. I feel confident that the necessary steps will be taken to ensure that you and others have a better shopping experience moving forward.

We know you have a choice in where you shop and are grateful that you've chosen to do so with us. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and we hope you will give us a chance to earn back your trust and loyalty.

Sincerely,

Veronica

I feel so much better. Don't you?

FYI, I have not gone to Kroger since the trip I ranted about. Hubby has gone a couple of times, but not me.

AND I heard on the news our Aldi will open in April. I can't wait!

It's like some companies don't want to be in business. Don't get me started about JcPenneys!
And our Aldi just opened!!! And the good news is a couple of the other grocery stores in town have really stepped it up and are lowering prices to compete.

I think you are right, SonyaAnn. I used to shop JC Penney regularly, but just have not since it quit having sales. I just don't want to pay full price there. LOL!

As for Kroger, I don't even mind that some prices were higher as long as sale prices were competitive. Heck, we can afford to shop there even with their higher prices. I love low prices, but don't always switch stores just because of that. If I did, we would have been grocery shopping at Walmart for years. There is one that is just as close to us as the Kroger is. But I don't like Walmart on the weekends. Way to crowded for me. BUT, I do want to be treated as if I am a customer, not an inconvenience to the store.

What a bunch of stinkers! Kroger is just giving you lip service there instead of customer service.
I can't wait til your Aldi store opens for you! ;-)

Not even believable lip service!

I'm surprised. I complained about a grocery store and they actually had the director call me... I was very shocked that they emailed and called me....Pity they don't see the importance in customers.

Hunie, I think that is true sometimes. In the past, I have notified Kroger of some issue and I have heard back from a store manager, but not this time.

Such a pity. I am sorry!
