Ready for the weekend!

This is how I felt this morning when I got to work. I didn't look like this, as I am not a brunette man. But I felt this way.

After being here a few hours and ingesting my Pepsi One, I have enough caffeine in me to actually be awake at my desk. I am sure my boss would be pleased...IF he realized that there was an alternative to my being awake and productive at my desk. I don't think he realizes that.

This will be me at 3pm today.... Except that I am blonde, not skinny and not in a suit today. LOL! But this is how I will feel when I leave. Our management has bestowed on us the privilege of observing "Summer Hours," which means that we can leave at 3, IF we AND our immediate boss feel that there is no pressing reason to stay. No meetings can be scheduled at 3 or later and almost everyone winds down and leave before 3. I am on the marketing floor, so often, a lot of people don't even show up on Fridays. LOL!

My boss would prefer that I work continuously, around the clock, but I prefer to leave at 3. I have worked for him for 10 1/2 years and I pretty much get my way on stuff like this. LOL!

So, I am counting down until time to start my weekend!!

I know the feeling :-)
I worked at a job that thought you needed to stay until 5:30. We left as the building cleaning crew was out there. Summer hours meant on Fridays you could leave at 4. I am so happy not to be at that job anymore.

I had one of those work around the cleaning crew jobs, back when I was young....and stupid....and a workaholic.

I am cured now! I work 8-5 and go home early any time I get the chance. LOL! Which isn't very often, since my boss is a workaholic. But I love him, so it's okay.

WOOHOO! Fly outta there like the wind!

I had no idea that Pepsi One was still being sold. I learn something new every day... lol

I didn't know Pepsi One ever stopped being sold. I get it at my Kroger all the time. (Well, all the time when it is on sale for the price I want to pay. LOL!)

What's Kroger?

Just kidding! Can you tell that I rarely go out LOL I swear, I have not seen Pepsi One in ages...

Going back to my cave now...rofl

LOL! Dan River Mama! You DON'T get out much do you.

Kroger is one of those new-fangled "grocery stores" we have down here. LOL!

I laughed until I snorted! I LOVE you(in a sexual and naughty sort of way)!

Hi there! I thought I had posted a comment yesterday, but I must have just read your post, laughed, and then went on....SORRY!

I agree with Dan River Mama; being in Small Town, I didn't even know that Pepsi One was still around...I'll have to check at the local grocery store.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

BTW, you and SonyaAnn are hilarious!! You two should do some kind of shared post someday...it would be hysterical :)

I had a boss that thought I should work around the clock too. I don't know what his problem was!!!
I agree with Dan River Mama, fly out of there like the wind!

Hi, A.Marie and Pam! Thanks for stopping by!

A.Marie, I think that SonyaAnn and I could be very scary together. LOL!

Pam, I used to have a boss that really DID expect me to work around the clock. My current boss would like for me to, but he doesn't really expect it. At least, not anymore. LOL!

Hi, SonyaAnn, Jules and Queenie Jeannie! Thanks for popping over.

I had a really nice weekend. I relaxed all day yesterday and had minimal errands today, so it was pretty relaxing as well.

And I agree, funnest and bestest ARE words!

I wish we had summer hours - instead, they plan things on the weekend for staff to do, and wonder why we're not happier about working here....

Thanks for dropping by, Chicagolandia!

Your job sounds like my old one. I got tired of working on weekends. That is one of the reasons I left. Of course, that was back when the economy was better and jobs were not as scarce.
